Have had this bike for a month now and have never been more motivated to maintain my fitness. The Matrix R50 recumbent bike is sturdy, easy to use and best of all when paired with Virtual Active passport workouts and iFit.com guided workouts provides opportunities to see some of the worlds most beautiful locations while improving fitness. Just finished 15 cycling workouts riding with Richard (iFit.com trainer) through gorgeous byways and temples of Thailand and circuits with Paul (trainer) around the Hawiian islands (my wife's favorite). Cycled through US national parks, Norway, Paris, the Riveria, and Argentine's Patagonia with trainer Nicole. Next is New Zeeland. The R50 is comfortable; seat adjustments and resistance settings easily adjust to fit our particular riding styles. The 22 inch HD touch screen monitor is a real beauty and truly enhances the riding exercise experience. I have never enjoyed exercise bikes; too boring. But, being able travel the world with motivating trainer support while burning calories, building muscle and endurance is something I look forward to each day. These 20-45 minute workouts are very motivating and I can already feel a fitness difference. I have purchased other exercise equipment and returned them; poor construction and ridiculously terrible customer support. Actually there was NO support; sat on hold for 5 hours over a 2 day period trying to get help with their nonfunctioning brand new equipment. NEVER got to speak with a support technician! That did it; I drove in to the Johnson Fitness store in Madison, WI and Scott provided helpful advice and guidance. As a result, I purchased a Matrix R50. What a difference; the R50 bike was vastly superior to my previous equipment. And, after delivery, I got timely helpful responses to any questions when contacting Johnson Equipment store and/or phone support staff. The Matrix R50 has proved to be an excellent purchase and well worth the money! Color me a 70 happy road warrior!

Both my wife and I have had the same back surgery, and the Matrix R50 helps us keep in shape without any concern of further injury.

I was very pleased with the set-up, and I'm quite impressed with the overall sturdiness of the equipment. It took us some time to set up the accessories, but only because we failed to initially set up our profiles. I'm a little bit disappointed with the meager choices of exercise routines the equipment offers. But that may be something I can add to later. I'll have to look into that.

This R50 recumbent bike is an exceptionally well designed, solidly built piece of exercise equipment! The screen is beautiful and significantly enhances our workout experience. The Virtual Active and iFit options provide opportunities to travel the world while exercising under the guidance of motivating and knowledgeable instructors. The adjustable seat and back rest help to provide a safe and comfortable experience. Kudos to the folks at Johnson Fitness; R50 is a real winner! I generally dislike exercise routines, but now look forward to my daily workouts and conditioning.. Actually kind of amazing.

Bike is smooth and quiet with strong engineering design. My unit came with poorly positioned up sensor on right handle which was assembled poorly and functions inconsistently and the readout is simple and intuitive, but has to be unplugged or it makes ticking noises when not in use. These issues keep a potentially great product rated as good.

I am loving the R50 Recumbent Bike I just purchased. Both my wife and I are taking advantage of the Sprint 8 interval training that came with the bike. There are several other programs that we are also looking forward to as we re-engage into physical activity as we enter our 6th decade of living. I do wish there was a better way to track our progress over time. This is why I gave a 4 star rating and not a 5. Other than that, its a great investment and we are already seeing a ROI.
