Horizon 7.8 AT Treadmill

The Horizon Fitness 7.8 AT is a beefed up treadmill for runners that want to pay for engineering more than screens and technology. This is no doubt a heavy duty treadmill coming in at more than 300 lbs with a powerful 4.0 hp Johnson Digital Drive motor that responds 33% faster than its competitors. It has a full size running area of 22″ x 60″ which is ideal for running and HIIT training. Speaking of HIIT training, Horizon has included the twenty minute Sprint 8 workout usually reserved for their premium Matrix Fitness line!

Although the treadmill does not have an interactive touchscreen, it does respond to fitness apps through your own tablet and has nice built in speakers. Their are ten pre-programmed workouts in the full color screen that measures over 9 inches. This is a very nice, crisp screen with intuitive graphics.
Another unique highlight for this treadmill are the “QuickDial”controls placed above the heart rate sensors. This is another quality upgrade for runners and those doing interval training alike. No more hitting an up arrow fifteen times to change between speeds when doing custom intervals with speed and incline alike.
I would recommend the Horizon 7.0 AT to any runner out there wanting to stay under the $2000 price tag! If you do not need a built in touch screen and do not mind using your own smart phone or tablet for fitness apps, this treadmill is a FANTASTIC VALUE for the high quality given.
