I am an experienced treadmill user and I went in looking for an upgrade. Robert gave me an education on treadmills in general and provided me tips I wasn't aware of before we got into the specifics of what I was looking for. Throughough the process he was attentive, professional, and did much more than I expected. It even extrended after the sale as he navigated a delivery challenge for me on his day off. I was impressed and would not hesitate to recommend and be a repeat customer.

About the salesman/manager: 5 stars Robert is very knowledgeable about all the products not only from a specification standpoint but, also from a technical standpoint. He can clearly communicate the importance of how you want to use the equipment to best decide on the model you want. He has extensive knowledge about the history of the equipment and had some good stories, one was about where massage chairs started from, I would highly recommend asking about it if you are into random knowledge. He was very adamant about maintenance that if you care for it, it will last you a long time. Lucubrating the belt, vacuuming the motor because its air cooled, and not running it at max incline for an hour straight that even lowering it to half for a few minutes will help keep the motor from overheating. About the testing of the floor models: 5 stars All I needed was buttons to adjust the incline and speed, being a heavy person 270bls Robert recommended that I get the 7.8 they had a 7.4AT for demonstration. I tested some other brands and models. He was perfectly fine with me using them as much as I wanted, chatting with me about various things and answering my questions thoroughly. Using the 7.8AT: 4 stars It only gets 4 stars because its not true 15% incline. When I was using the 7.4 I mentioned that the belt felt like it was stalling every few steps, he told me that the lower end models have DC motors which as Diesel tech I knew exactly what was going on at that point. He explained that DC motors need to spin quickly to get the max power, the faster you go the better it runs. It has a 3.5hp motor but, the 7.8 has a 4.0hp motor which made a huge difference even at max incline I can not feel the belt stalling. The 7.8AT says its a 15% incline but it most certainly is not, more like 12% at the most, at least comparing to the 15% on the planet fitness treadmills, you have to lean forward to walk on that angle. I have to walk 2.7mph on the 7.8AT to get the same heartrate profile as when using the planet fitness treadmill. Its ok though I can live with that, just wish I noticed it when I was testing it out. Delivery and install: 5 stars I bought it on a Saturday, got a call on Monday from the carrier had it delivered and installed Wednesday so that was fast. The installers where quick only took them 30 minutes, they were professional and placed the treadmill perfectly on the mat. They took all the cardboard and trash with them. My research: I originally wanted to get the Nordictrack x16 but even on step sale with delivery and install it was still going to be $4000 which is a great deal. I wanted the steep incline because I like to hike a lot and when I was going to planet fitness I set the incline to 15%@2.3mph from 45-60mins. I had decided to buy from a brick and mortar because I read online that people have a much easier time getting warrenty and repairs done quickly. Robert said he only ever had one issue with a warrenty that he had to really fight for but, got it resolved so I felt very confident that if I had an issue he would be able to take care of it. Overall: This was a great experience researching treadmills, talking with Robert and using the treadmill. Robert is the reason I am even leaving a review at all, I never review, comment or interact with much of anything.
